Parliament (Riksdag) elections 1998

Parliament (Riksdag) elections
The social-democratic party has dominated Swedish government for the most part of the last 70 years, but for shorter periods a bloc of non-socialist parties have been in majority and formed the cabinet. In the balance between the two main political blocs small changes in voters choice can change the majority in electoral districts (communes) and parliament. The core areas of socialist and non-socialist majorities are relatively stable over time and can be compared with other social indicators.
