Persons 65 years old or older
The rapid urbanisation from the middle of the 20th century left Sweden with a geographically segregated age structure. This is illustrated by the high percentages of old people in interior northern as well as in southeastern Sweden. In contrast the percentage of old people is low in the urban regions of southern Sweden.
